haha, two holidays in a day. well, 3 if u count my bro's birthday. he alway hates how he's born on valentines day. apparently, he was supposed to be born on leap year. i mean, he is born on leap year, but not february 29. it would of been really awesome if he was.anyways, a legend once said that there was the evil emperor who didn't let people marry each other. but this guy called Saint Valentine secretly married people, so when the emperor found out, he was beheaded. So, apprently we've been celebrating the beheading of a priest on this...somewhat romantic holiday lolz.
so, about chinese new year. it's always on a different day. actually its on january 1st of the lunar calender, but you probably don't use that unless ur in asia or something. it's sort of like how only 3 countries -including the US- dont use the metric system -_- anyways, it's tiger year this year. it goes rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, ram, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig. you know, that's how Fruit Basket started :)
