Friday: woke up at five as were were supposed to in order to skip the traffic. knocked my alarm clock over and fell back asleep. randomly woke up again at 6:30 and finished fruit basket#22! my little bro and my dad actually woke up at 8? heh, they're too slow. thats y we actually left around 9, and it took us around 6 hours to get to Cadillac. it's near traverse city ALL the way up there..
we stayed in a bed and breakfast place, and it turned out that the owner of that house was my mom's cousin's (the person who we were visiting) friend. so, we stayed for free. woot! then we had dinner (i had the best chicken pot pie EVER) and we went and saw some cranes (my uncle is a photagrapher, so he likes taking pictures of animals and wildlife : http://www.natureofthewild.com/), and we went to sleep.
Saturday: we were supposed to leave at 9, in order to get to our "meeting spot" at 10. however, during the night, at midnight, this really loud and annoying alarm suddenly woke me up. at first i thought it was a fire alarm or something, but it turned out to be a clock. so, i ignored it cuz i didnt want to stand up. then i heard my dad running into my room and trying to turn it of by pressing all the buttons until it finally shut up. that's why when i woke up in the morning, the clocked showed 8:45, and i freaked out and started to change and everything. but, when i went into the room my parents stayed in (the only bathroom was in their room), my dad was still sleeping. it turned out that he also pressed the hour changing button too. aww....could of slept for another 15 minutes.
around 8:30, the owner of the house went and packed up 2 kayaks into her truck (she was going to kayak with us) as we were eating breakfast. at 9 o'clock though, it turned out that her car battery was dead! so, by the time we got it fixed and got to the gas station we were meeting at, it was already 10:45, and my aunt wasn't there. we stayed there for a while, before driving to where my uncle was. he then called her, and apparently she went back home cuz she couldn't find anybody.
After everything was back to normal and everyone was there, we went to a camping spot. we weren't camping though, we were going to kayak to an island where we could hike and enjoy nature.
Then, since we had 4 kayaks total, so only 4 people, including moi, could go see this HUUGE eagle nest. it was literally as big as a volkswagon. HUGE!Sunday: we went to traverse city saturday night, and my parents decided to shop some nessisary stuff that we needed. like flip flops, shoes, pjs, swimsuits, etc. i just got a pair of $4 op flipflops, and these sweatpants. yay. they said that the tax there was lower, so we should get what we needed.
anyways... all we did on sunday was hang out at this beach with a couple of sand dunes (i saved up on these totally awesome flat, smooth rocks perfect for skipping rocks-not that i know how to, i wish), and then get ready for our 6 hr. trip back home
